brothers
by Anita Dapperens
we are brothers, you and I
brothers, in all but blood
we speak the same language,
only needing half a word
to understand the silly jokes
that others never get
we are brothers, you and I
brothers, through and through
Id go to hell and back for you,
I pick a fight, you clean my mess
ending up with a bruise or two
it doesnt matter either way
because were brothers, you and I
brothers, sworn for life

English Poetry
my English teacher
stars threw their spears
sanity
dawn's beauty
broken
love's cry
dreams of joy
bliss
the thorns of love
end of the tunnel
after storm
infinite love
banishing ghosts
fighting depression
drowning
bittersweet victory
cruel indifference
saying goodbye
heartstrings
the sun
the tragedy of want
as the world turns
you
full moon
just once
moving
when I look at you
brothers
courting
the receipt
