when I look at you
by Anita Dapperens
your hair shows me what the weather is like
rain or sunshine, wind or snow
when its too neat, I want to mess it up
your eyes tell me how you feel today
sad or mad, happy or simply content
when you wink at me, I feel wanted
your mouth can scold or invite me
yet, I like it best with that hint of a smile
that tells me that you are mine
and that suits me nicely
for now

English Poetry
my English teacher
stars threw their spears
sanity
dawn's beauty
broken
love's cry
dreams of joy
bliss
the thorns of love
end of the tunnel
after storm
infinite love
banishing ghosts
fighting depression
drowning
bittersweet victory
cruel indifference
saying goodbye
heartstrings
the sun
the tragedy of want
as the world turns
you
full moon
just once
moving
when I look at you
brothers
courting
the receipt
